Why Cities?
You might be wondering, what’s the deal with cities?
Why are they the focus? Why are they important?
“Today, 54 per cent of the world’s population lives in urban areas, a proportion that is expected to increase to 66 per cent by 2050. Projections show that urbanization combined with the overall growth of the world’s population could add another 2.5 billion people to urban populations by 2050, with close to 90 percent of the increase concentrated in Asia and Africa”- United Nations Review of Urban Growth 2016
Cities are where we live. They are our most compete for creations, they are our habitat created through our independence and interconnection. So we think that it’s important that we connect them and make them more accommodating to the needs of people. We can empower each other as we improve the livability of our planet. It’s this idea of connection, that we chose to connect people at the “city level”. Every street has a new story and an old one, every store is a memory and every park is an experience waiting to happen. Let’s make them better together. Focusing on cities alone doesn’t mean that they’re the best way to live, it means that they are the centre of regions. They support and are supported by a wide variety of different land settlement patterns and communities. At P: drivesHC, we understand the interconnection of the way we all live and actively support these connections. Through our Projects, we transcend the urban-rural divide and make our mission about our lives. Connective efficiency, collaboration and common drive towards a better tomorrow, today regardless of where we live. Want to show that you agree with our mission?
